61 Nigerians Deported from United Kingdom

Sixty-one  Nigerians were yesterday deported from the United Kingdom (UK) for immigration related offences. A source at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) disclosed this at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
According to the source, the affected Nigerians were those without valid travel documents and    were deported back to Nigeria in a chartered flight .The Nigerians comprising 45 males, 16 females were flown into the country in  the morning.
The source said shortly on arrival, the deportees were taken through security checks by appropriate security agencies at the airport, including NIS, the police and other agencies to avoid causing any nuisance around the airport.
It would  be   recalled  that  some  Nigerians were deported  early in the year  from  Libya, and Malaysia.
